I have a line drawn perpendicular to another line. I want to lengthen the line to a precise distance.

In the properties window the length of the line is shown but it is greyed out so I can't change the dimension. I could drag on the end node but I will lose the perpendicular property of the line and also I won't be able to drag it to the exact dimension I need.

I could offset a line and extend to that, but is that the long winded way around this.
