No answer last time so will try to re-word.

How can I force a print configuration box to open?  YouTube shows the print configuration box opening when the Print command is issued.  I cannot get it to open, with Print command, or with Print icon or with drop down menu "File/Print."  In all cases the response I get is the generic print box for either the Brother printer or the Canon printer that does not allow selection of print area or drawing size or scale.  I have searched this site and cannot find the answer.  If nobody has the answer, I would be interested in knowing if anyone else is having this problem.  Or is there any other site where I might find the answer?

I have reloaded DS, upgrading from R4 to R5 and condition does not change.  Using Mac OSX, V10.6, and Canon MP280, with alternate printer Brother MFC-7840W.
