I have drawn something (a block) and there's a line crossing it. I would like to be able to move everything on one side of the crossing line to another (hidden) layer.

Let's say the block is a wheel of a car, and the line is the edge of the car-body and I would like to make it clear that the car-body overlaps the wheel. How can I achieve this?
