Hello,
My company has many assets that they originally made in Autocad (.DWG files). We're shifting slowly but surely to SolidWorks. But, because so many assets are in .DWG files, they purchased a copy of DraftSight for me to help carry assets from the .DWG files to Solidworks drawings.
Generally, this is pretty easy. From DraftSight, I just need to (1) make the asset I'm copying over into a block, (2) make sure it's the color I want it, (3) Ctrl-C from DraftSight, (4)% Ctrl-V into the Solidworks drawing, and (5) I can scale the .DWG asset into the size I want it, and drag it into place.
However, I'm having problems with blocks that have attributes. For example, somebody made the balloons below into a block with an an attribute that is their item number:
When I try copying these assets into SolidWorks, anything that is an attribute doesn't copy over. So, I'm left with a bunch of empty balloons. Does anybody have a good way to address this?
