Hi. When drawing i use absolute coordinates to draw the lines. I.e. setting grid to 1mm and drawng a line from 0,0 to 0,30. Snap is also set to 1mm, But when measuring the linear dimension it gives the double value, i.e. 60mm. When I import a created object in another tool, including Solidworks and Allegro and other third parties tools, it really is twice the size of what expected. I also see this problem a lot when opening 2D CAD of components into Draftsight from vendors like phoenix and molex (manufacturers of printed circuit board connectors).

It confuses me (not hard to do) that dimension does not follow what the grid indicates dimensions to be. I guess there is some concept here I do not understand.
