I finally decided to go with draft sight to LEARN HOW TO GET STARTED IN CAD.   I have been faced with three hours of frustration  just trying to get the free software loaded and started.

The process keeps unabashedly attempting to provoke me into buying the draftSite professional  version  and I have yet to get the program running.

I cannot see how this program is going to teach me anything except how to lose \\\$ 5.95 for an Ibook of 100 practice projects  which is how I got involved.

This appears to be  pretty much a case of bait and switch and I have lost my confidence in D'assault,  Solid Works and draftSite   as well as a Sunday afternoon of Learning Cad.

I guess I will have to migrate to Auto cad Fusion 360 for my learning experience.
