Getting unremovable <> brackets in my Alternate Units dimensions.

Hello everyone,

I've searched the forum and found no mention of this particular issue yet. So here we go.

Most of my drawings are drawn in metric (mm) and dual dimensioned in millimeters and inches. As of Draftsight 2017, both SP0 and SP1, whenever I use any character in the Alternate Unit suffix field I get <> and then the suffix character in my dimension. For instance:

914 [36<>"]

or 318 [12 1/2<>"]

I've tried changing fonts, and messing about with all of the Alternate Units settings, but the <> will not go away. Unfortunately this makes any version of Draftsight 2017 unusable for me and I've had to roll back to 2016 SP0.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a proven way to fix it? (I haven't got time to keep installing, testing, and rolling back software) Or am I doomed to languish in 2016 SP0 for all eternity?
