So...I stumbled across a fix on the blog for a problem concerning the inability to change the sheet background color which was also a symptom of my problem as described above.
So I followed the blog instructions to search in Windows Explorer for %Appdata%, find and open the DraftSight folder, open the profiles folder, and rename the
_unnamedprofile_ folder. Restart DraftSight which will force Draftsight to create a profile using all defaults.
This fixed the problem and also allowed me to open my drawings from two versions back which would also not display in the sheet tabs as they had been drawn.
Interestingly when executing the Explorer search and opening the DraftSight folder there are four folders labled 1.2.188, 1.2.205, 1.2.231, 1.2.263 all which contain a folder named '_unnamedprofile_' I renamed each of these folders in all of the above folders.
I of course now have to go back in and reset all of my options to my 'taste' but at least I seem to be back up and running correctly on the latest version.
There must be some 'legacy' in the older profiles that is incompatible with the upgrades.
Anyone have any idea if I can delete what appear to be older version app data files?
Thanks
Ralph
