Hi is it possible to have a block attribute connected to the file name?

In the help file section on Defining Block Attributes is stated: 

Default value: Displays the visible component of the BlockAttribute in the drawing. It may have up to 256 characters and may be a constant or variable.

So is there a variable for the file name that could be used?
