Hello all,
I do not like to have my ESnaps turned on all the time because I find, when I zoom in close and want to draw something, it's snapping to endpoints and midpoints of things I don't want and often well off screen.
Anyway, I love the "shift-right click" shortcut menu. What I love even more is you can "shift-right click > m" and it gives you the Midpoint... "shift-right click > p" for perpendicular, etc.
However, one of the one I use the most is "shift-right click > e" for "endpoint" and "shift-right click > r" for nearest. However, these don't work... I have to "shift-right click > e ... then take my hand off the keyboard - without moving the mouse - to hit enter."
I know I can just move the mouse and click on it, but even that is loads longer than just hitting the e key with my left hand... over the coarse of a day, that time adds up.
I'm a recent convert from AutoCAD, and this "shift-right click > key" shortcut worked there perfectly... and I'm just so used to doing it, I'd love to keep that up with DraftSight.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone knows how to fix this (if it even can be fixed).
I know it doesn't do it because there are two shortcuts linked to the "e" key... "endpoint" and "ESnap Settings" ... r key is for "inference point" and "nearest" ... but I didn't know if this could be fixed somehow. i.e., remove the "e key" shortcut for the settings menu (I don't think the settings menu is accessed so often that it needs a short cut key... same with inference point...)
Thanks for any help in advance.
