Hello,
The appearance of this error may occur due to incomplete or unclean reinstallation. I would suggest you to try complete uninstallation of all the versions of DraftSight using Microsoft's 'Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter'.
Refer the link below and follow the below steps:
1. Click on 'Download troubleshooter' and open it. When the program opens, click on Next.
2. Click Uninstalling
3. In product selection select 'DraftSight' and click Next to follow un-installation process.
After the above process, Please perform the clean reinstallation with the steps mentioned below. Ignore the steps that are not available at your end.
Steps for clean installation:
1. Login as administrator
2. Uninstall DraftSight.
3. Navigate to folder DraftSight
C:\\Users\\[username]\\AppData\\Roaming\\DraftSight
4. Delete folder DraftSight.
5.Navigate to folder Dassault Systemes in the installation directory (generally in C:\\Program Files)
6. Delete the folder Dassault Systemes
7.Navigate to folder DraftSight under C:\\ProgramData\\Dassault Systemes\\DraftSight and delete the folder DraftSight
(The ProgramData folder is hidden folder.
Either you can enable to show hidden folders from Folder options or you can directly type c:\\Programdata on to address bar and press enter to access this folder.)
8.Clean up registry by deleting registry key folders
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Dassault Systemes > DraftSight
(run registry editor from Start > Run > type "regedit" (without quotes) and select OK. This will launch registry editor).
Please ensure not to modify any other registry key or folder since it can lead to malfunctioning of other applications.
9. Reinstall DraftSight.
