I'm trying to check on the status on this feature.  Below is my previous post.  Has this feature been added or has a work around been found?

Embedded Objects Don't Update

When I insert an Excel spreadsheet into the latest version of DraftSight (V1R1.4) and check that box that says "Link", the spreadsheet is not truly linked.

Updating the Excel spreadsheet does not update the object in DraftSight. 

I've read other posts that says this has been reported.  Has a fix/update been released yet?

Hi Lisa,

This is a known issue which has been reported to our Development team.

SPR# 582789

They are working on this issue for fix. Pending successful development and testing, issue will be resolved in one of the future release of DraftSight.
