When editing the component of a block or a reference drawing and trying to trim them, the trimmed entities are faded, which makes them very difficult to see as they don’t stand out on the background color.

Modify > Component >  Edit > Enter TRIM, select the horizontal lines as cutting edges, select the colored segments to remove.

The remaining entities are difficult to see on the background.
