Dear Forum,
I have some .dxf files of airfoil profiles for building model airplanes that I would like to send to a company that does laser cutting. They will cut the profiles out of balsa wood, and I will use them to build a model airplane!
The .dxf files were generated using a special program called CompuFoil. It produces a .dxf file that, I am told is composed of "splines". I am told that the laser will pause at each "node", and produce a low quality cut. The files need to be cleaned up to use polylines and arcs instead of the splines. Accuracy is important, so any differentation from the original must be avoided.
Does anyone know of an easy way to do this?
Thank you so much!
Sincerely,
Mike
