How can I get the hyperlinks in my drawings to survive and work after doing an Export to PDF? I have tried everything - different save as formats, all of the export formats except .sld, MANY different PDF printers, and about 5 other CAD packages. The closest purported solution that my research showed was using Bluebeam PDF Revu with a recent AutoCad Version. In that case, you susposedly can right click on the filename in explorer and select Bluebeam PDF convert.
If anyone has a "method" where the dwg with hyperlinks on elements can survive posting to PDF, I sure would appreciate your input. In my case, I'm doing schematics which will be on the computer that runs our machines our customer's plant. We will provide the schematics in PDF form. The links in the PDF are to the device cut sheets/instuctions/manuals/etc from the device manufacturers (like a temperature controller, etc) so the maintenance personell don't have to go to multiple cross references to get the data they they need.
