DS V1R1.4 in Ubuntu Linux 64 bit behind proxy takes more than 3 minutes to start

I followed the instructions in http://linuxaideddesign.blogspot.com/2011/10/draftsight-and-ubuntu-1110-64bit.html to manually install DraftSight on a machine running Ubuntu Linux 11.10 (64 bit). The proxy settings seem to work, activation succeeded, but every start of the programm takes more than three minutes. There are no error messages (at least no that look related to the delay). When I start DraftSight in a terminal window, the following messages are produced:

~\\\$ /opt/dassault-systemes/draftsight/bin/draftsight

QGtkStyle was unable to detect the current GTK+ theme.
QFSFileEngine::open: No file name specified
QFileInfo::absolutePath: Constructed with empty filename
QFileInfo::absolutePath: Constructed with empty filename
QFileInfo::absolutePath: Constructed with empty filename
QFileInfo::absolutePath: Constructed with empty filename

At this stage nothing visible happens for the next three to four minutes and eventually the DraftSight editor window opens.

How can the lag become eliminated?
