DS locks up when using Entity Snaps

Problem:  DS locks up when using Entity Snaps

Occurs When:  Happens when I select an object using Entity Snaps to attach a dimension or move/copy with reference point.

History:  This just started happening in the new version V1R3.1 x64.

Screen Shot:  I was trying to add a dimension to the conveyor, end snap:  [external link removed, and added to media here in DS, with "authorize download" checked on.

Work Flow

  1. This drawing was created with a new blank template in DS.
  2. Then, the customer's plant layout was pasted as a block (remains a block in dwg).
  3. Then, the robot palletizer drawing was created.
  4. To finish, I was adding overall dimensions.  I started by trying to dimension the vertical length of the conveyor.  This is the red circle in my "DS_lockup.jpg" attached.  I checked it again and same thing happened - DS struggles to 'pre-select' the end point or intersection of the top-left corner of the conveyor.  It hesitates and doesn't put the yellow symbol Esnap indicators up there.  If I pick the corner anyway (without seeing the yellow 'pre-select) DS crashes.  Esnaps I use are end, intersect, circle, median.  You'll see these (I think) in the uploaded .dwg.
  5. Note:  once I see that the 'pre-select' isn't working, I force an Esnap of endpoint from the toolbar, and that usually prevents the crash.  This happens often, so when the 'pre-select' doesn't work, I cancel, save, and then force a single esnap.

Additional Observation:  Sometimes I notice that various blocks I copy/paste are placed on different Z heights besides zero.  All 2D drawings, so they should all be inserted with z=0.  DS struggles to 'pre-select' entities that I've noticed are pasted in on different z's.  I am on Z=0 because when I draw a line, z=0.  I only draw in 2D, not 3D.

Thank you,
