DS closes as soon as opened

I installed Draft Sight (stand-alone, 64 bit).  It installed and I activated it.  However, as soon as I try to open it, the splash screen appears, and then a notice that says 'Draft Sight has stopped working.  WIndows is checking for a solution to the problem.'  It then changes to 'A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.' 

I removed and reinstalled DS (V1R5.2), which did not solve the problem.  I adjusted the administrator's privileges.

In the 'Troubleshoot compatibility', it does not appear that the program is compatible with my system.  (I have previously used DS on a Windows 8 machine with much lower specifications than mine, but this option did not appear.)

My computer is a new Dell Precision M2800, Intel i5, 8GB RAM, 450 GB hard drive, AMD FirePro W4170 graphics card, running Windows 7 64 bit.
