In isometric mode, I have not been able to draw a circle on any plane except the X, Y plane. When I choose the ‘SNAP > GRID > Isometric’ command, the 2 crosshair lines are displayed as expected. Even though the crosshair lines change when the F5 key is pressed and the planes change from Top, Right and Left, the CCS icon never changes and is displayed as if the grid mode was rectangle instead of isometric. Hence the problem when drawing isometric circles. I read a number of post on this that indicated this was a known problem back in 2010 and the it was fixed shortly thereafter. As I have experienced, the problem still isn’t fixed.
Note: If I choose the ‘SW Isometric’ tool, the screen updates displaying 3 crosshairs and the CCS icon displays the X, Y, Z plane orientation. Even in this mode, circles can only be drawing on the X, Y plane.
Are there any training resources available for creating isometric drawings?
Thanks,
RBO
