Draftsight native linux version is not as responsive as the windows version. I tried installing the windows version with WINE and I was happily surprised that it works just as good in linux as in windows.
Is there any drawbacks using Draftsight with WINE instead of the native linux version? I use CypeCAD for structural calculations in linux, and that software is designed to work with wine in linux, instead of offering a native linux version.
Since Draftsight for Windows seems to be more developed (and in Linux the splashscreen says Beta), would you recommend me keep using the software with Wine, since the experience is much smoother? Is there any use of a native version at all? Is it not easier to design the software to work with Wine?
Thank you very much for useful CAD software, have been missing this for linux for quite some time, much smoother than Bricscad ;)
EDIT: Although Draftsight x64 with Wine crashes if you poke around in Options, so it seems instable with wine after all ;)
