DraftSight Version and interface issue

Background:

75 year old self-taught user here, raised on 2H and vellum.

I have been a paid DraftSight subscriber since April of 2020.

Last version used:  DraftSight (Standard) Version-21

Last Interface used:  "Classic" ..similar to old AutoCAD LT

Also.. I only use 2-D functionality, for arch working drawings.

No 3-D modeling.

Story:

Last summer, I replaced my PC desktop due to upcoming termination of Win-10 support and incompatibility of my old PC for a Win-11 upgrade.

I deactivated my DraftSight (DS) license on the old desktop per instructions and installed DS on the new Win-11 desktop. However, DS Version-25 was installed as a brand-new application with no option of choosing any previous version.  Unfortunately, I was unable to modify the new interface to anything close to what I had with my previous DS Version-21.

I subsequently learned of the “migration” feature which maintains user settings.  So, I deactivated the DS license, and uninstalled the entire new DS application off the new computer.

I then transferred the entire DS application file from the old computer to the new computer, and hoped it would “migrate” my user settings to the new computer upon a new install.

I then attempted reinstallation of DS onto the new computer, intending to “migrate” my previous settings. However, the installation was declined with the same result after several attempts.  I have not used DS since.

Goal:

As my DS autorenewal date is April 23rd (next week) I need to determine one of several options, unless there’s something I have not considered.

  1. Install previous DS Version-21, if possible, and somehow “migrate” my user settings from the old computer.

  2. Install the latest DS version, if required, and somehow “migrate” my user settings.

  3. Postpone autorenewal, if possible, until I can figure this out.

  4. Cancel my DraftSight subscription and look for an alternative with more familiar interface.

Thank you for any help, advice, thoughts or prayers.
