I have recently downloaded and successfully installed the DraftSight software package, versionV1R3.1 x64 from the web site http://www.3ds.com/fr/products/draftsight/download-draftsight/ onto my Desktop computer (Windows7, 64 bits, Service Pack 1).

In general, Draftsight worked well on my Desktop computer and I could also print drawings. But then last week I noticed a problem when I replaced my old printer (an Olivetti d-Copia 2500MF KX) with a new printer (a Sharp MX-2310U PCL6). The problem is that DraftSight stops working every time I try to print. -- It stops working immediately when I select File / Print...., even before I can select the Sharp printer, or any other printer for that matter.

It's impossible to select another printer in DraftSight, because the program stops working immediately. I tried to fix the problem by completely removing the DraftSight software from my computer, then I re-installed a fresh copy from http://www.3ds.com/fr/products/draftsight/download-draftsight/

The installation went fine, but it didn't help the problem: DraftSight still stops working every time I try to print.

I am lost - Is this a printer problem or a DraftSight problem ?

Any help is much appreciated.
