DraftSight Stand Alone requires ~60 seconds to startup

I installed DS a few days ago on a 32bit Win7 machine. At first, it started up very quickly (<15 sec). But after a couple days (several re-boots), it now takes about a minute (sometimes more) to start up. I un-installed DS and downloaded a fresh copy from the site. I noted that I was not asked to re-register, so I assume there must still be something in the registry on my machine. On a hunch, I killed the DraftSightHelper.exe process after a few seconds, and DS started right up....I read that the Helper program has something to do with licensing....so is DS trying to communicate with a server or something to that end and it doesn't start up till it times out?

I read a different post (regarding printing issues) where the answer from support was to un-install and clean the app data folder and the registry...is that what I need to do or is there some other fix? Apprecaite any advice. BTW, I've recommended the program as an alternative to Acad LT to many folks in my section...so we're evaluating it as a group...others I've spoken to that also recently migrated to Win7 are not having this issue.

Cheers, Mike
