DraftSight on Macbook Pro - Running out of application memory

Since purchasing my MBP (Retina, 13", Early 2015) around 18-months or so ago, I've always had an issue with DraftSight and my MBP "running out of application memory".

After 10-15 minutes of using DraftSight (even the simplest of drawings), the beach ball would come up and that would be it...I would lose everything up until my last save point.

I have upgraded the DraftSight from 2015 to 2016, and yet the problem still exists. I've also upgraded and downgraded my OS but to no avail - the problem still manifests.

Several times, I've sent my MBP back to the authorised Apple seller I purchased from for them to inspect, but each time, it has drawn a blank. They have noted that, when running DraftSight, the kernel_task runs excessively high (a lot higher on my MBP than my iMac) but they are unable to say why this occurs or even if this is the problem?

When buying my MBP, I made sure that the spec exceeded the recommended system requirements of DraftSight.

Recently, on larger, intensive projects where I need to use DraftSight when travelling to keep up with work load etc., I have resorted to using my old Lenovo X1 Carbon, which handles DraftSight without any fuss or bother (albeit a little slow). What I can't fathom is that my high-performance MBP struggles with just 10-15 minutes use?!

I am really hoping DraftSight 2017 sorts this problem out once and for all. In the meantime, if anybody has had similar problems and managed to resolve the issue, any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks
