I have a users machine I installed draftsight on. Brand new machine and hardware, very medium/high specs, well over the recommended (and over what other users have in that department that are also using draftsight)
However when this user goes to open up drawings directly from file explorer, it opens the "Grey" screen of draftsight, then hangs, freezes, and crashes. After causing this, just opening up draftsight itself will cause it to hang and crash.
I had to do a complete uninstall and reinstall in order to open it up again. After that, we had to open drawings from WITHIN draftsight in order to get them to open. If we ever tried to open the drawings directly from file explorer, it would crash, and then we would be unable to open up draftsight anymore unless I did ANOTHER complete uninstall/reinstall of the program.
Unfortunately this temporary work around still has issues, since my user just reported it being frozen again despite not opening a file from file explorer (as far as I know, he may have opening it accidentally and attempted to correct it by closing and going from within draftsight, and by that point it was to late).
Either way, having such a glaring crash that requires me to go over and reinstall an entire program to fix...really isn't a solution. I hope someone here knows what's going on so we can get it resolved asap
