I have tried all manner of things to get Draftsight to work on my Macbook Pro with Mountain Lion. Nothing has worked. It is fully up to date with Apple updates. However I saw on an apple discussion forum a solution. I have tried it and it worked for me.
I created a new user with standard permissions and launched Draftsight. It went through the activation bit and launched as expected. It runs just fine. I have no idea why this method works but hopefully you may be able to figure it out. It looks like a permission thing but my knowledge in this area is nil.
I am very happy now it all works. I have already submitted my crash reports in my previous posts a few weeks ago. Hopefully they show something of value now you know that it works with a new user method.

Ian
