I join the growing group of individuals who cannot get Draftsight to send an activation email. I have performed every known "trick" on the Internet without any success.
I have modified the registry, uninstalled, cleaned registry, re-installed, applied hot fix ( 2016 SP0 - I am desperate ), tried 2017 SP1, SP2 and SP3, each time cleaning the machine to remove all traces of the previous install.
Any IT person will tell you it is the software causing the issue, not the proxy, firewall, webfilter and the dang email is not in my spam folder - because it was never sent.
If Dassault is pushing their Pro version, but come on, do you really expect us to shell out \\\$99 a year when it comes across you could care less about this product and the problems it has? I recommend whoever came up with the activation scheme to be fired and replaced with someone who can do it properly. Dassault it is apparent the installer/program is broken and has been for years - when are you going to fix what should be either a simple fix or re-write the activation part?
I have a temp Engineer picking his nose for the last 5-1/2 hrs. now waiting for this program to activate so he can work. This does cost money you know. We use Solidworks ( you know that very pricey program ) and have need for 2D at times and Draftsight should be a viable option if one can get it to activated ( good luck with that folks )
So any Draftsight engineers back from lunch yet that would care to jump in and answer the million dollar question - "How do we activate your product so we can use it - to make the money we need to continue paying for - you know - that pricey jewel called Solidworks )?
Paul
