I work in IT at our company and our Draftsight user has a Draftsight Standard license purchased for them. We got them a new PC, the old PC has everything wiped on it already. The user profile that was transferred over did not contain any registry settings or anything, merely the Documents/Download/etc... folders in his user folder, nothing to do with draftsight. He did an install, typed in the serial, and got the exception_access_violation error. I googled around and have tried multiple things. I have disabled our antivirus and tried reinstall, didn't work. Tried the trusted sites exception in internet explorer, didn't work. Changed some compatibility settings, didn't work. I tried temporarily modifying ownership of the folders for draftsight in it's 3-4 different locations one by one to the user, didn't work. I was able to smoothly just install and activate the same software on my computer. I have removed draftsight, ran CCleaner and wiped all the associations that I could find in the registry, manually deleted the folders for draftsight in program files, programdata, appdata, etc... reinstalled and it still doesn't work. Is there some kind of special firewall exception we have to make to activate this standard license out to your servers? Any help appreciated, thanks.
