My drawing is not displaying anything on the model tab. The Command Window is stuck displaying "rebuilding viewports..."

I've tried zoom fit but still nothing. All the content of my drawing is appearing when switching to Sheet 1 tab.

The drawing was working fine up to a point then this problem suddenly happened. 

Any ideas how to resolve this without starting again from scratch?
