Fresh install of Draftsight 2022

Draftsight crashes approx 30 seconds into starting a new drawing. I assumed it was likely because of the GPU, so i started over and reimaged my laptop for a more 'simple' approach...

I was about 60 min into a drawing and it also crashed.
Monitor goes black, mouse still on screen, but only option is to hard-reset power.

I've gone through the forum suggestions to delete preferences, registry keys, profile directories... and it works again for a period then crashes again.

I love being able to use my old ACAD12 commands from back in the day, but the stability is infuriating. Does anyone have any direction?
