I'm self taught on Draftsight, and certainly wouldn't consider myself an expert, or even merely proficient. IT has rolled out the 2019 update, I've previously used both 2017 and 2018. Previously when drawing using lines I would click to the start point, type the length of line, then I could hold shift and click again for it to snap line placement at 0°, 90°, 180°, or 270° in my coordinate system. I don't know if this is the correct way to do things, but I find it proficient and quick to work with. Now in 2019 this behavior no longer works. When I type a number, shift no longer works and the line draws from the start point towards wherever the cursor was. Holding shift will snap the line to 90° increments, but typing a length deactivates the line tool. I'm struggling finding a way to simply and quickly draw lines of a specified length at accurate 90° angles. I'd rather not have to type @"length"<"angle" every time I want to make simple line. As I said, I'm self taught, I suspect I'm missing some setting, or have just been flat doing it wrong all along.
