Hello. Is this behaviour was anytime addressed as a bug? I don't use version 1V2.1 because it soemtimes can't open Autocad 2004-2006 files which are very important to me so I returned to 1V1.4. Is 1V2.1 free from this? 2GB memory level is a default setting for 32bit XP. There is a switch to increase level to 3GB but it is only small workaround (till 3GB is reached).

This bug is very easy to reproduced - just open as many big drawings as You can and control the virtual memory size by some task manager.

PS: I checked the AutoCad 2000 and this app is vulnerable too to memory for process limit. It is so hard to make additional error procedure when mem. limit is reached to just stop the open procedure, release resources and inform user that sys. has too low memory?

I forgotten to write that DS consumes much more memory than Autocad 2000 so in this old app I have opened 60 drawings like a charm (nearly the 2GB virtual mem size) when in the same files set DraftSight has crashed on 18th file. But of course I don't recognize this as a bug - another application, another requirements for resources.
