Has anyone had issues printing 'E' on simplex font were it adds another line across on the right side of the E so it looks like a squared 8?

If I print or export to pdf it looks fine, then when I print to my printers it does it, same if I print directly to printer. I kept messing around trying to find the cause:

I found one sheet that when using the default and making no changes it would print the E's normally, but as soon as I created a print configuration from the default it would go to printing E's like 8's.

I found printing directly from model space on that same default template loaded by draftsight printed them normally

I found when I selected print style color.stb it printed normally, but now I can only see .ctb files and not the .stb files.
