I have a problem with text disappearing from dimensions and notes. It happens when I hide the layer and then make it visible again; the dimension lines are there but no dimension text or notes.

If I select a dimension and change a property or move it then the text reappears but the notes seem to have disappeared forever as I can't select them (by windowing on the area they were in). This provides a partial work-around as I can select all dimensions, change a property (such as line type) and then change it back again and the text has reappeared. However, I can't find a way to recover the notes.

I have created a simple test file by drawing a rectangle, dimensioning it and then hiding and showing the dimension layer but this works fine. Therefore I am assuming that it is not something to do with my system (I have seen other posts referring to display drivers) but something to do with the drawing itself.

Any advice please anyone? Is there something that I am likely to be doing wrong that is causing this? and/or is there a simple way to recover everything? It seems like a bug and is driving me nuts.

I am using the free version of DraftSight, version 11.3.1131, running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.
