Hello,
I'm new to Draftsight, so excuse me if this is a trivial question with obvious answer. But is there a way to position the dimension text (value) below the dimensions line, when the text won't fit between the extension lines (just like in the first picture)? In text position there is only above, centered, JIS (which I don't know what it does exactly) and outside. The outside setting somehow do the trick, but only with horizontal dimensions and only when placed below the measured object. In the first picture, I managed do to this by creating that dimension below the object and moved it using "move" command (moving it with "dimension edit" or "dimension text edit" does not work). But as you can see, it cannot be used for vertical dimension, because when I use "rotate", only the lines rotate, not the value.
Is there any way, beside manually writing the value, to do this? Or is there some kind of a plugin for it?
Thanks for your help.
P.S.: OK, so I managed to solve the second picture with checking "align witch dimension lines", but I still need to create them below the object and move them to correct position, which is quite slow.
