Here's simply what I am trying to do:
1. I am making a drawing of my son's baseball field to help layout the base paths; limits are 200'x200'.
2. I have setup a Text Style called "1" which has a better font ... what used to be called RomanSimplex ... I'm old school AutoCAD user.
3. I have setup the main Dimension Style (called it "1") to work for the overall drawing: Text size = 8"
4. I want to capture some finer detail in the same drawing (e.g. Home Plate), and using the Dimension Style 1 is too big (text, arrows, etc.)
5. This needs a Dimension with Text at say 4".
6. When I try to setup Style "2", it automatically bases it on Style "1".
7. So I then tried to setup a new Text Style called "2", hoping I could then link the Dimension Style to this but can't. All that comes up in the drop down menu when asked to "Based On" are my original Style "1"and "Standard".
So ... that's it!
Please help!
thank you.
