Create associated drawings in one or multiple files?

Good morning,

I am very new to DraftSight and CAD. I am beginning to transition my workplace (engineering and fabrication workshop) from building truck bodies using only past experience with a few hand drawn diagrams and notes to using DraftSight for all aspects of the truck body.

Each tipper body design will require many drawings of the various aspects of the tipper body, for example the sub-frame, tailgate, tailgate locking mechanism, tipping body pivot, airline brackets, taillights, hoist, retractable tarp system and the hoist, and the list continues.

I am looking for guidance on how best to manage the 12 to 20 drawings that will be required for a tipper body design? I have managed to created the following Sheets in one DraftSight file:

1. A4 Portrait - Title block with border
2. A4 Landscape - Title block with border
3. A3 Portrait - Title block with border
4. A3 Lanscape - Title block with border

More specifically, my question is do I draw all the relevant components to a tipper body in numerous DraftSight files (model view) each with the above mentioned Sheet Views or just one model view in one DraftSight file?

You advice and guidance will be most welcome.

Regards

Peter
