Is it possible to control the layer of an drawing with an excel spreadsheet?

The excel file contains "references" to my layers. So when ref. is "true/false" or "1/0" the referenced layer will be shown or hidden.
That shoud give me access to more complex layer management with "if/and/or/else" functions controlled by excel.
It is already possible to integrate excel files with the "insertobj" command. So the two sheets are synced. But i don't find any information about referencing table values to any function in Draftsight.
Is it possible in any way? I know that AutoCAD supports functions like this. And Solidworks, what we are also working with, supports that feature too.
