I'm currently using Draftsight V1R5.2x64 with Windows 8.1. Draftsight is recently activated and works fine. Today, I decided to set my firewall to flag attempts by any program to connect to the internet. When I open Draftsight, the firewall becomes overloaded with Draftsight's attempts to connect to 168.75.151.72, which is Clearblue Technologies in Andover MA.. As quickly as I can close the notification window, another one opens. This lasts for several minutes and locks my firewall program up. If I close Draftsight, it still trys to connect every few minutes, then eventually stops. I checked Task Manager and verified the Draftsight application was no longer running. I even disabled the Draftsight API service. Notification windows still keep popping up every few minutes.
I understand the need for an internet connection to re-activate the program. This is different. Draftsight tries to connect every time and won't stop. It's locking my firewall up with relentless attempts. Does anyone know how to inhibit the connection attempts except when re-activation is needed?
Thanks,
Barry
