Has anyone had experience with connecting drawing properties into PDM?

I am trying to tie in the drawing properties do data card variables. But I am not sure what I need to connect! In PDM, I try to use custom properties as the attribute, but even when I name them the exact same, it doesn't seem to pull that information. Any ideas?
