I was told that DraftSight can be used with Solidworks, but after installing and looking at file format open, import, and export options, that doesn't seem to be the case. If anything, DraftSight seems to have a lot more compatibility with AutoCAD, which I already use. I currently use .dxf as a translation bridge between AutoCAD and Solidworks and I don't really see any advantage to using DraftSight to do the same thing. Am I missing something? Thank you
