After converting a spline into a polyline by saving my drawing as a R12 dxf/dwg I got many unneccessary anchor points on previously straight and actual collinear lines. Is there any command, script or lisp app that helps me with joining these lines to a single one? I tried to dissolve the polyline and then rejoin it but it didn't work. 

On other drawing / cad software there are sometimes functions to clean up paths or lines e.g. special functions in AutoCAD Map for simplifying or the OVERKILL command, but also there are functions in Adobe Illustrator to clean up or weed a path. I'd love to have something like that in draft sight or that you can give me some hint how to solve such problem via scripting.
