Ever since I downloaded the latest release of draftsight V1R5.1, I keep getting a COM SURROGATE error.

I researched the event viewer and it is related to DraftSight.

The error is causing some windows explorer issues…for example, when I go to mycomputer, all my icons are not loaded and all my shortcuts are missing.  The system sits there thinking with a progress bar in the address box of windows explorer.  I left my computer running over the weekend and now I can't even open up mycomputer or a standard windows explorer session.

I have already uninstalled Draftsight including one registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Dassault Systemes\\DraftSight.  Then I reinstalled as admin…same issue.

The issue is temporarily resolved with a system restart but this only lasts for a few minutes until the com surrogate error appears and computer freaks out.  With a complete uninstall of the software I get ZERO issues but of course this is counterproductive.
