One more question, and if I cannot succeed with this I am going to admit defeat and give up with Draftsight!

I have opened a dwg file showing a window in plan and elevation view. Firstly it only appears on a black "Model" background. Why is that? How can I get it to appear on a Layout view?

Secondly, I want to be able to grab an entity (the front view of it) copy and past it into a building elevation drawing and then to orientate, position and re-size it to match the new drawing. Should be a simple task to display some grab handles and drag it to the required size, but whatever I try today, nothing seems to be working for me!  Guy
