I cannot activate my copy of DraftSight for Linux, I get an error telling me that my " Email is not an email "

Furthermore, this same error message shows up on this website as well.

I suspect that both of these problems are due to bugs in a shared email validation code. My email address includes a '+' (Plus Sign) that is allowed per RFC spec.

Please help me solve this problem.
