Bound Area bug

Hi,

I believe I've come across a bug. I'll try to be as descriptive as possible since it is not possible to upload snaphots:

  • If you draw a closed shape (ie a rectangle) , then draw a Bound Area within, it picks up the shape perfectly.
  • When you draw another shape (ie a circle) within the rectangle, then run the Bound Area, it picks up both shapes perfectly, as it should.
  • In AutoCAD, if I wanted the Bound Area to exclude the inner circle from the rectangle (for Area calculations, ie spaces around a pillar) I would draw a line from the inside the circle across the circle's perimeter and through the rectangle perimiter. So when you start the Bound Area XY scan within the rectangle it will follow all the lines and go around the circle, giving you the correct space area around that circle.
  • Datacraft misses the line in the Bound Area XY scan and produces 2 shapes instead of 1, as if the line didn't exist.

The only alternative is to draw a second line from the same end-point within the circle and the outer end-point to be sligtly off-set from the first line outer end-point.

Sorry, this is difficult to explain with words. I'm happy to collaborate directly with DataCraft Support.Developpers to help resolving this issue.

Thank you.

Emeric.
