I'm getting DraftSight setup on my PC running Windows 7 x64.  I've installed DraftSight V1R3.1 and I have a question about inserting blocks using the command line.

I'm eventually working toward getting a custom menu setup with commonly used blocks.  Currently, I have a blocks folder setup on a network drive at X:\\Blocks.  I've also setup the "Library Files Location" to X:\\Blocks.

So for example, I want to insert a block called "widget" stored at X:\\Blocks\\widget.dwg.  If I use the -insert command, it will ask for a block name as expected.  If I type in widget or *widget.dwg, I'll get a message saying "Cannot find the specified drawing file.  Verify that the file exists".  However, if I go -insert and then type X:\\Blocks\\widget.dwg when it asks for the name, then the block is inserted just fine.

Is this the expected behavior?  My understanding with the blocks library is that I don't have to specify the fully path of the block - just the name will do.  Normally I wouldn't worry about it, but since I want to build a custom menu for inserting these blocks, I don't want to specify the full path of the blocks folder gets mapped to a different drive letter, for example.

Any insight or advise is much appreciated.
