i hope this makes more sense.

i am using this on mac running osx lion, but the problem is also on a few windows machines my friends have downloaded in the last six month.

until i reinstalled yesterday, due to the license expiring, if i wanted to draw a part for profiling, e.g. laser cutting i would do the following :-

choose the line tool

click the page with the cross hairs in any random place i wanted to start

then input the line info e.g. 100<0 for a line of 100mm in length from the place i had clicked in the direction of the x axis (0 degrees).

this method still works fine on my laptop running draft sight for windows that has not been changed for over a year, i have also made the setting the same on both machines to no avail.

now when i click the page with the cross hairs in the position i want to start from and then input the dimension and direction e.g. 100<0, the line go's from the point at which i have clicked the page with the cross hairs to 100mm from the intersection of the x,y symbol

how do i put this back to as it was before?

any help would be most gratefully received as i need it working asap!
