Hi,
We have a manufacturing system that opens out saved DWG files for punching sheet metal on an turret punch machine. This manufacturing system uses AutoCAD 2011 as its backend, customised thoroughly to do this. Most of the time we're producing our sheet metal files from SolidWorks, but we have legacy files in DWG format that occasionally need changing. So we're attempting to use DraftSight.
Yesterday we tried this for the first time in quite a while - we may have tried this on previous versions of DraftSight and not the current version. The AutoCAD tool the manufacturing system was using couldn't open the DraftSight saved DWG files. We tried saving the files out in versions from R13 through to 2010; none of these could be opened by AutoCAD on the target computers. I'll attach one of the problematic files for perusal.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Can someone with AutoCAD 2011 open this file successfully (in which case it's a problem with our computers)?
Thanks and regards,
Daniel
