First post and slightly puzzled with this issue.

Running Windows 8 pro latest version on Laptop and Desktop(idential operating systems and set ups) (I know its officially not listed as the OK operating system, read on.....

Laptop HP G70 (Spec OK according to the system requirements) Graphics Card: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation WDDM 1.1)

I have the latest drivers, disabled hardware accelleration switched snaps off, uninstalled and reinstalled DraftSight, rebooted etc. all to no avail.

The problem?

Cannot see any elements but I know they are there as they come up on selection. Cursor moves in jerks and slow. Useless trying to draw with this. Opening existing drawings just the same - they are "invisible".

Desktop: Gateway pc GM5066b : NVIDIA Gforce 7300LE (latest driver)

DraftSight works fine on the Desktop so I know it's OK for Windows 8Pro.

I also run MicroStation version 7 on both machines and that works fine on both machines. Disappointed with DraftSight as a cut down version seems to have much highter graphics requirement than a very expensive top notch CAD program.

PLEASE CAN THE SOFTWARE WRITERS TELL ME WHY THIS SHOULD BE AN ISSUE.
